These Terms of Service govern your use of the Scrap My Car NZ website and vehicle removal services. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Scrap My Car NZ website at https://scrapmycar.nz or engaging our vehicle removal services, you agree to these Terms of Service governed by the laws of New Zealand.
2. Services Provided
Scrap My Car NZ provides free vehicle valuations and cash offers, free same-day vehicle collection, cash or bank transfer payment at collection, completion of NZTA MR15 vehicle disposal documentation, and responsible eco-friendly vehicle recycling.
3. Quotations and Offers
All quotations are based on information you supply including your vehicle’s registration number, condition, and location. Quotations are valid for 7 days from issue. We reserve the right to revise a quotation if the vehicle’s actual condition differs materially from the description provided, or if parts have been removed between quotation and collection.
4. Vehicle Ownership and Warranties
By accepting our offer, you warrant that you are the legal registered owner or duly authorised to sell the vehicle, the vehicle is free from outstanding finance agreements (unless otherwise disclosed and agreed), there are no legal disputes or encumbrances preventing sale, and all information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
5. Payment
Payment is made at the time of collection via cash or bank transfer as agreed. Payment is made to the registered owner or their duly authorised representative only.
6. Collection and Risk
Risk in the vehicle passes to Scrap My Car NZ when our driver takes physical possession at your collection address. Until that point the vehicle remains your responsibility.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel a scheduled collection at any time by calling 0800 000 523. No cancellation fees apply. We may cancel or reschedule in exceptional circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the transaction giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.
9. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
